INTERVAL TRAINING
Is a type of continuous physical training that involves a series of low-to high intensity exercises, workouts interspersed with rest or relieve periods.
The high intensity periods are typically at or close to anaerobic exercise, while the recovery periods involve activity of lower intensity. The main aim is to improve speed and cardiovascular fitness. It allows you to burn more calories in a shorter period of time and improve aerobic capability at a faster rate when compared to continuous intensity exercise.
Its more effective at inducing fat loss than training at a moderate intensity for the same duration due to the metabolism-boosting effects of high intensity intervals.
